Liposuction Liposuction is improving body shape by removing excess fat deposit. Liposuction is by no mean a solution to obesity. You can however reshape your body and change your eating habits afterwards. Liposuction is not a diet. The perfect candidate is a patient with a great skin elasticity with some excess fat deposits in variable parts of the body. The surgery is done with a local or complete anesthesia. Thin, several mm long cuts are made. The designated places are filled with a tumescent liquid then the fat is sucked by a cannula. Right after the surgery, an elastic clothing is put on, previously chosen by both, the patient and the surgeon. The patient usually spends one night in the hospital. After bandage replacement the patient goes home. We suggest 7-10 days of relaxing with reduction of walking. By not following this, some complications can occur; Such as swelling, higher secretion, fever... The elastic cloths are worn 24 hours a day for the period of one month (The exception is personal hygiene, washing the clothing). Massaging of the operated areas by rolling pin is performed daily. The maximum effect comes after 3 months. At this point it is possible to tell the success of the surgery. The effect stays if the body weight is kept. This is in case of no complications during the healing process. The surgery is of course very individual and the results are not only the work of the surgeon, but the patient as well. |
